What is Tabata?
Tabata is a form of high-intensity interval training named after Dr Izumi Tabata, who studied it with Japanese speed skaters in the 1990s. One Tabata is 4 minutes: eight rounds of 20 seconds of maximum effort and 10 seconds of rest. Pick one exercise, such as burpees, squats, sprints or mountain climbers, and go all out.
Short as it is, a true Tabata is hard. Warm up first, and start with one or two blocks before stacking more.
