Questions
How long do I boil an egg?
From boiling water: 6 minutes for soft, 7 for jammy, 9 for medium and 12 for hard boiled, for a large egg from the fridge.
Why do my eggs crack?
A cold egg dropped into fast-boiling water can crack. Lower it in on a spoon and turn the heat down to a steady boil.
Can I time tea too?
Yes. The Tea preset is 3 minutes, a good starting point for black tea. Green tea usually needs 2 to 3 minutes in cooler water.
