How the date calculator works
Choose Between two dates to find the time from one date to another. The calculator counts whole years, then whole months, then the days left over, the same way you would count birthdays and anniversaries. It also shows the total in days, weeks, months, weekdays (Monday to Friday) and hours. Tick include end date if both the first and last day should count, as with a hotel stay or a leave request.
Choose Add or subtract to find a date in the future or the past: for example 90 days from today, 6 months before a deadline, or 2 years and 3 weeks from a start date. When you add months and the day does not exist in the target month, the calculator uses the last day of that month, so 31 January plus one month is 28 February (29 in a leap year).
Worked example
From 1 January 2000 to 22 October 2026 is 26 years, 9 months and 21 days. Counted as days, that is 9,791 days, or 1,398 weeks and 5 days. Months are not all the same length, so "months and days" and "total days" are two different ways to say the same span.
How old am I?

Does it count weekends and holidays?
Total days include every day. The weekdays figure leaves out Saturdays and Sundays; public holidays are not removed, because they differ by country.
