How the Pomodoro method works

  1. Pick one task and type it in, so you know what this session is for.
  2. Focus for 25 minutes. If something comes up, note it and keep going.
  3. Take a 5 minute break when the bell rings. Stand up, look away from the screen.
  4. After four sessions, take a longer 15 minute break, then start a new cycle.

Questions

What is the Pomodoro Technique?

A way to work in short, focused blocks: 25 minutes of work, then a 5 minute break. After four blocks you take a longer break.

Can I change the lengths?

Yes. Set focus, short break and long break in minutes below the timer. Your lengths are saved on this device.

What happens when a session ends?

A bell rings and, if "Start the next session automatically" is on, the next session begins after a few seconds. Otherwise the next session is ready for you to start.
