Disclaimer
What our tools, calculators and guides can and can't be relied on for.
TimeNowTools provides free timers, clocks, time zone tools, calculators and guides for general information and everyday use. Please read this disclaimer before relying on any result.
General information only
Everything on this site is provided in good faith for general information. We check our methods and examples carefully, but we make no guarantee that every result is complete, accurate or suitable for your situation. Use the site at your own discretion.
Pay, overtime, PTO and work-hours calculations
Our hours calculator, time clock and guides on overtime, time and a half, paid time off and FTE explain common methods, mostly based on US federal rules. Employment law differs by country, state, employer and contract, and it changes. These pages are not legal, financial, tax or employment advice. For decisions about pay or entitlements, check your contract, your employer's policy, or a qualified adviser or the relevant labor authority.
Prayer, Shabbat, sunrise and sunset times
These times are calculated from astronomical formulas for the location shown, using the calculation method and settings displayed on each page. Mosques, synagogues and religious authorities may use different methods, local adjustments or published timetables. For religious observance, please follow your local community or authority.
Time zones and daylight saving time
Time zones, offsets and clock-change dates come from the IANA time zone database built into your browser. Governments sometimes change their rules at short notice, and a device with outdated software may show old rules until it is updated.
Timers, alarms and the exact-time clock
Timers and alarms run in your browser and depend on the page staying open and your device staying awake and unmuted. Do not use them as the only reminder for anything critical, such as medication, safety or travel. The exact-time clock is synchronised with our server and is accurate to within a fraction of a second under normal network conditions.
